The latest data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the China Logistics Information Center shows that with the deepening of supply side structural reform in the logistics industry, logistics demand has maintained stable growth in the first four months of this year, logistics operation quality has further improved, and the logistics industry continues to develop rapidly.
Data shows that from January to April this year, the total amount of social logistics in China was 76.0 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.0% at comparable prices. The growth rate increased by 1.1 percentage points compared to the same period last year, and slightly decreased by 0.1 percentage points compared to the first quarter. The total cost of social logistics was 3.6 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, with a slight slowdown in growth rate, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the first quarter.

A major characteristic of logistics operations in the first four months is the transformation of old and new driving forces, which promotes the improvement of logistics demand structure. From the perspective of composition, while the logistics demand of traditional industries continues to recover and grow, the supporting role of high-tech industries and equipment manufacturing industries in logistics demand is becoming increasingly evident.
